edikt2 Technical Workshop (7th September, 2006, NeSC)
edikt (www.edikt.org) produces new knowledge by using computational science to extract information from vast datasets, and generate models through simulation. The current phase of the project aims to develop and support research computing in the University Of Edinburgh by providing access to computing resources and developing new computational tools. As part of this project there are regular meetings where project participants and interested scientists around the University can meet and discuss their current computational research. The second meeting of this kind will take place on the 7th of September at the National e-Science Centre at 13:30. The meeting comprised talks on a variety of topics including oncology and genomics (PowerPoint presentaitons linked below). There will also be time for discussion. The full program was as follows.
