INWA Grid Upgrade Activity
In 2003 the INWA project built a compute and data grid between the EPCC and Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia. This grid allows researchers to analyse commercial customer behaviour data located at sites in the UK and Australia. In 2005, this grid was extended to include a node at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China.
In edikt2, from November 2006 to February 2007 EPCC and the University of Edinburgh Management School in conjunction with Curtin University of Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Australian Research Council have upgraded the technologies that underpin this grid infrastructure.
