INWA Grid APAN Demo Activity

In 2003 the INWA project built a compute and data grid between the EPCC and Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia. This grid allows researchers to analyse commercial customer behaviour data located at sites in the UK and Australia. In 2005, this grid was extended to include a node at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China.

Following on from successful upgrade of the INWA Grid (See https://www.edikt.org.uk/edikt2/INWAGridUpgradeActivity), EPCC and the University of Edinburgh Management School in conjunction with Curtin University of Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Australian Research Council successfully demonstrated the INWA Grid at 24th Asia-Pacific Area Network (APAN) conference in Xi'An, China on August 28th 2007.
